How to Apply for a Philippine Passport – DFA - NCR East Megamall – Part 2


STEP 3:  PROCEED TO DFA OFFICE ON YOUR APPOINTED TIME AND DATE.

On your appointment date, proceed to DFA Megamall Satellite Office located at the 7th Floor Megamall Building C, EDSA corner J. Vargas Avenue, Mandaluyong City, in front of SM Megamall Building A (see locator map). You must be at the DFA Office 30 minutes before your scheduled time. Early/Late comers will not be entertained.

Present your printed application form to the Appointment Counter located near the entrance of the office. Please take note of the requirements that you need to bring to the DFA Office on your appointment date. An officer will check your requirements if it’s complete otherwise you will be advised to complete the necessary requirements before proceeding.

After verifying the requirements the Passporting Officer will attach a small paper which contains the “PASSPORTING STEPS” that you need to accomplish.
After the Verification Step sit on the waiting section of the Processing Area and wait for your turn. A Passporting Officer will guide you on what processing window you will go to.

You will be asked by a Passporting Officer at the processing window about your personal information. They will verify if all the entries on your application is true and correct.

After processing, proceed to the Passport Enrollment Section and pay the applicable passport processing fees.

PASSPORT FEES
Regular Processing (15 working days): Php 950.00
Express Processing (7 working days): Php 1,200.00

For First time passport applicants
For Renewal of passport applicants
For Replacement of a lost expired passport
For Replacement of a lost valid passport

Take note:
Additional fee 
P200.00 for a lost valid MRRP / MRP 
P350.00 for a lost valid e-passport.


PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT APPOINTMENTS DURING SATURDAYS WILL BE CONSIDERED EXPRESS PROCESSING AND WILL BE CHARGED PHP 1,200.00.
After payment, proceed to the Encoding Section for data capturing. The Passporting Officer for Encoding will ask you to remove your earrings and contact lenses. (NOTE: During photo capturing your ears must be seen at the photo but smiling with visible teeth is not allowed. SO GIVE YOUR BEST MONA LISA SMILE. ^___^)

Check all the data in the computer monitor. After your personal details and biometrics are encoded you will be provided by an Enrolment Certificate or a sample copy of your passport. You will be ask to sign the Enrolment Certificate so please be sure to check if all the data is correct before signing it otherwise inaccuracy will be a big problem and worst you will repeat the entire process again including payment. Make sure you have your receipt with you before you leave because you need it to claim your passport on the releasing date.  

You have the option of claiming your passport at the DFA office where it was applied at or have it delivered by courier to your home. 

If you opt for the delivery, proceed to the Delivery Counter to pay for the delivery fee. It will cost an additional fee of Php 120.00. Don’t forget the copy of your receipt because it will contain the approximate date of delivery of your passport. 

Wait for 7-10 days for rush processing and 15-18 days for regular processing.

REMINDER: POWER FAILURES, TECHNICAL BREAKDOWNS AND NATURAL CALAMITIES MAY DELAY THE RELEASE OF PASSPORTS. NO REFUND OF FEES WILL BE MADE ON ACCOUNT OF THESE UNFORESEEN DELAYS.


NOTE: OBSERVE PROPER DRESS CODE.
Applicants wearing sando, spaghetti straps, shorts, sandals, slippers/flipflops, or tube will not be allowed to enter the building.
