Picnic Grove: Escape to Tagaytay Part 2

After our Sky Ranch adventure we headed to Picnic Grove to have our lunch. Visitors/ tourists can bring food in the park. Huts are available for rent but we preferred to eat at the table under the trees.
A nice view while eating delicious food my mom cooked for us especially her SEAFOOD BICOL EXPRESS (It's the best!). Everything was great, well, guess what makes it perfect, it rained! Haha! At first we were like "Nothing Can Stop Us Now! We are hungry! No rain wont stop us from eating!" and then a lot of memorable line were said that moment, my fave was "HALA! Lumalakas na yung ulan! Pengeng kanin!" XD

The rain was really meanie, it rained really really really hard. My food became a soup in an instant! so we don't have a choice but to evacuate (Ayan napapala ng mga kuripot mag rent ng hut!) Luckily, there was a nearby hut with a family that I guess belongs to the clan of our dear president. JK. They were very nice and accommodating, they ask where we came from and what we're doing there. They were concerned because our clothes got wet by the rain. They even invited us inside their hut to eat, they said that they were celebrating a birthday of a family member. We refused but they insisted specially when they informed that we were also there to celebrate my brothers birthday. They gave a plate of spaghetti to my brother and sang him the birthday song. (So sweet!)

They asked us for a family picture. Though they looked like in a political press-con here. (If ever someone from this beautiful family might happen to read this please contact me.)
I told you they  were from the presidents clan. JK
Our group also looked like carolers that day. We were singing happy birthday nonstop. And the reward *drum roll* inihaw na tilapia.

Of course we didn't waste the chance to have a remembrance with them.

The hut were filled with joy and laughter, it was really cold in Tagaytay but the warm hospitality the family of total strangers gave us was absolutely priceless. It was the greatest experience for me in Tagaytay.

It's just a period of time, we sadly said our goodbyes and wished the best for their family

We want to explore the entire place to see different attractions and adventure like  horseback riding, hanging bridge and the view deck that will give the full view of Taal lake.

The Tagaytay Ridge Zipline and Cable Car is also around the area for adrenaline junkies who wants to have an adventure ride on the 250 meter zipline at about 300 feet high.

It hasn't stopped raining the whole afternoon, so instead of waiting we just enjoyed everything by playing in the rain. We play, we run, jump, slide and even do the follow-the-leader thing.  I guess a lot people would've think that we were bunch of crazy kids playing and loitering the place while everybody stays in their hut to avoid getting wet by the rain.

"Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain!"
-Vivian Greene

Well, in our case that time it's true. It really feels good to dance in the rain. Since we make ourselves kids that day we enjoyed it to the fullest. We dance the oh-so-popular "Gentleman" and "Gimme Gimme" and of course have it recorded. I will just think about posting it. HAHA (Baka sumikat kasi kami! LOL!)

After our crazy trip we then looked for pasalubong and souvenir shop. They were a lot of stalls with 3 for 100 pasalubong and 3 for 50 souvenir keychains and stuff.
The shirts and other souvenirs were also affordable.

We let ourselves to dry a bit so that we won't wet the car seat. (Lagot kami kay papa nito. Hahaha)

It rained but still it was an awesome trip. Nothing provides more lasting memories than a great experience, especially when shared with friends and family.
